In March 2008 Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa and members of the Guardian Angels Boston Chapter visited Brockton, patrolling downtown Brockton and the surrounding areas. On that same day, Mr. Sliwa held a press conference introducing the Brockton Chapter of the Guardian Angels. The Brockton chapter now patrols the city regularly and is always looking for new members to help us keep our neighborhoods safe. Training for patrol members is a prerequisite for participation in the program. Our Training program focuses on self-defense tactics, and is taught with the help of some of the local martial arts instructors. Members are also trained in CPR, First Aid, and conflict resolution. Other Guardian Angel Programs include the Cyber Angels, Urban Angels, Junior Angels and The Guardian Angels Education Academy.
